Free plus Quick Connectivity for All

The carrier revealed that the free, “reliable and lightning-fast” wifi offering from SpaceX will be available for passengers in economy, business, and premium cabins starting soon.

Expanded Rollout Across Several Airlines

The umbrella company for the airline, the airline group, announced it had reached an deal involving Starlink to offer connectivity coverage for 500-plus aircraft across the group's airlines, which also include Aer Lingus, Iberia, and the low-cost airline.

Uninterrupted Wifi from Gate to Landing

The airline stated that the implementation for the technology was part of a multi-billion pound “transformation” initiative that will offer uninterrupted connectivity access to passengers from boarding to arrival, even when in flight over oceans and remote regions.

Current Connectivity Services

Restricted internet access is currently provided to BA flyers across most of its aircraft using its .air system.

Participants of BA’s frequent flyer program may dispatch messages and plain-text correspondence onboard at no cost, whereas flyers looking to access music, video, and movies during the journey and are not flying in business or first might pay from four pounds ninety-nine to £21.99 for a connectivity bundle.
