Bondi Reveals Investigation into Trump Rivals and Epstein Ties
This past Friday, Pam Bondi assigned interim US attorney Jay Clayton to oversee an investigation into political adversaries of the President and their relationships with the late financier. This decision came hours after Trump instructed her to begin the investigation.
During an announcement, Bondi commended Jay Clayton as “a highly skilled and reliable legal expert”. The official added, “This case will be addressed with speed and honesty to ensure public transparency.”
This development appears to contradict a recent memorandum from federal authorities which indicated that documents related to Epstein did not warrant further inquiries. As per the document, investigators “did not uncover evidence that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties”

That same day, the President announced he would ask the Department of Justice to investigate Epstein’s ties with Democrats, including Bill Clinton, Larry Summers and Reid Hoffman. Paradoxically, Trump also referred to the “Epstein situation” as a “scam”.
